HSBC Strengthens Greater China Trade and Supply Chain Team

HSBC has promoted Elton Lee as head of trade and supply chain of HSBC Bank (Taiwan).

Lee joined HSBC in 1992 and has held several roles within the bank, including corporate banking manager, HSBC Kaohsiung. He also has more than seven years of experience in Mainland China as head of Taiwanese business desk in Shenzhen and founding branch manager in Suzhou. Most recently, Lee was senior vice president and area business manager for business banking Taipei, where he was responsible for establishing the business banking team and implementing strategic business initiatives.

In his new role, Lee is responsible for driving and managing HSBC’s trade and supply chain business strategy in this market, leading a team of specialists to deliver innovative trade and supply chain solutions to a range of companies, including multinational corporations, mid-market enterprises and small businesses.

His appointment is one of several key management and staffing moves within the Greater China region, including the previous announcement earlier this year of Bruce Alter, head of trade and supply chain, HSBC China.
