Casella Waste Systems Hires Edwin Johnson as CFO
Casella Waste Systems, a US regional solid waste, recycling, and resource management company, has hired Edwin Johnson, an experienced industry finance executive, as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Johnson will be responsible for leading all financial operations and functions within the company.
Johnson joined from Waste Services, where he served as executive vice president, CFO and chief accounting officer (CAO). In his three years with Waste Services, Johnson was involved with improving pricing, refinancing debt, improving returns on capital, and selling and swapping assets.
Johnson has held numerous financial roles throughout his career, including 10 years prior experience in the waste industry as CFO of Attwoods. Prior to joining Waste Services, Johnson was CFO of Expert Real Estate Services, a full-service real estate brokerage company.
Johnson received his MBA from Florida International University, his BS in Accounting and Administration from Washington & Lee University, and earned his certified public accountant (CPA) certificate in Florida.
