Atwood Oceanics Appoints Mark Mey as CFO

Atwood Oceanics, a Houston-based international drilling contractor, has named Mark Mey as senior vice president (SVP) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective 11 August 2010. James Holland, current SVP and CFO, will retire but may continue as an employee until 31 December 2010 to provide for an appropriate transition.

From August 2005 to July 2010, Mey was SVP and CFO of Scorpion Offshore. Prior to joining Scorpion, he spent 12 years with Noble Corporation. During his career at Noble, Mey served in various financial and operational capacities, most recently as vice president and treasurer. Prior to joining Noble, he spent three years in financial consulting and four years in public accounting in the US and South Africa. Mey holds an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa and attended the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School in 1998. He is also a chartered accountant (CA).
