Siemens Enterprise Communications Appoints Henning Rehder as CFO
Siemens Enterprise Communications, a provider of enterprise communications, has appointed Henning Rehder as chief financial officer (CFO). As a member of the senior executive team, Rehder will report to chief executive officer (CEO) Hamid Akhavan and will have direct responsibility for finance, treasury, audit and compliance, performance controlling, information technology and mergers and acquisitions. Rehder will be based in Munich.
Rehder joins the company from Unilever, with nearly 30 years of executive experience in finance, treasury and mergers and acquisitions for multiple divisions. In his recent roles, some key achievements have included identifying new business opportunities to dramatically increase the company’s growth, quickly and effectively reallocating resources to reflect rapidly changing external factors in a particularly competitive market environment, and a complete review of the acquisition target portfolio to align to the company’s new strategic agenda.
Rehder replaces Stephen Jones, who has served as CFO since the creation of the joint venture between the Gores Group and Siemens in October 2008. Jones will remain a leading executive within the finance organisation and assist with Rehder’s transition. During the past few years, Jones has been instrumental in the transformation of Siemens Enterprise Communications, including consolidating global operations, resetting cost structure, as well as many other measures, which strengthened the company’s financial organisation and performance.
