Trustwave Launches PCI DSS Education Series for IT and Security Professionals

Trustwave, a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance management solutions company, has introduced a new education programme to train IT professionals on the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This programme helps customers interpret the requirements and gives them the knowledge to achieve and maintain compliance in the most cost efficient manner.

Compliance with the PCI DSS is a requirement for all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data, and has been endorsed by all the major card brands – Visa, MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB.

The training programme provides an overview of the PCI DSS regulatory environment, card processing vulnerabilities and threats, and an in-depth review of each requirement. The educational series is designed for executives, compliance officers, information security and information technology professionals, to help build an organisational PCI DSS understanding and implement a methodology for the compliance process.

“The course provided practical, in-depth information on the best ways to protect card holder data in a cost-effective manner,” said Nabeel Najeeb, manager of IT for Akbartravelsonline.com, who recently attended Trustwave’s PCI DSS education course in India. “The insight we gained will help us give our customers a faster, more secure online buying experience.”
