Standard Chartered Appoints William Oswald as Head of Fixed Income Research

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed William Oswald to the newly created role of global head of fixed income research. Based in Singapore, Oswald will report to Alex Barrett, head of client research.

In his new role, Oswald will be responsible for leading Standard Chartered’s global efforts in foreign exchange (FX), rates, credit and quantitative research. He brings to Standard Chartered more than 14 years of experience in emerging markets. Oswald was most recently based in London with JP Morgan as global head of emerging markets quantitative strategy and head of strategy, central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Oswald also worked with Deutsche Bank as head of EEMEA rates strategy and external debt relative value.
