VeriFone Partners with Bling Nation on Mobile Tap-and-pay Initiative

VeriFone Systems has partnered with Bling Nation in efforts to support an introductory mobile payments programme in Palo Alto, CA, using VeriFone payment solutions. The new programme enables businesses and customers to connect easily and securely, giving consumers the ability to simply tap-and-pay for purchases using a BlingTag at the physical point-of-sale (POS) systems with contactless technology.

This new solution by VeriFone and Bling Nation allows customers to purchase goods via alternative payment methods – including PayPal and direct debit of bank accounts – while automatically receiving real-time account balance updates and instant rewards through an intelligent loyalty programme.

“This introductory programme brings together the best from each market to create a compelling alternative way to pay,” said Paul Rasori, VeriFone senior vice president, marketing. “Bling Nation is combining the payment power of PayPal and POS footprint of VeriFone to deliver consumer benefits at the convergence of mobile payments.”
