Aer Lingus Appoints Andrew Macfarlane as CFO

Aer Lingus Group has appointed Andrew Macfarlane as chief financial officer (CFO). He has served as Aer Lingus’ interim CFO since December 2009. Prior to joining Aer Lingus, Macfarlane served as CFO of Rentokil Initial and his career has covered the leisure, business services, real estate and accounting sectors.

His early career was with Ernst & Young, where he spent 12 years, reaching the position of corporate finance partner in 1987. In addition he has held the position of CFO at Land Securities Group and Holiday Inn. Macfarlane is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an MA in Economics from Selwyn College, Cambridge.
