Barclays Corporate Hires Maurice Cleaves as Global Head of Cash Management

Barclays Corporate has hired Maurice Cleaves as managing director and global head of cash management, effective January 2011. He will be responsible for building Barclays Corporate’s proposition globally, specifically targeting pan-European opportunities with a view to doubling the size of the business. He will report to John Kelting, head of products.

Cleaves joins from Deutsche Bank, where for the past four years he was responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region cash management product organisation. Prior to Deutsche, he forged a successful 26-year career at JP Morgan Chase and predecessor organisations, holding positions in operations, product and business management, sales, product development, and risk management within the cash management, securities clearance and corporate trust businesses. Additionally, he has been a director of SWIFT UK, CHAPS, APACS and the UK Payments Council.
