Cryptomathic's EMV Data Preparation System Chosen by First Data in Poland

First Data has selected Cryptomathic’s CardInk solution for the production of EMV cards in Poland. First Data’s Poland business will also use Cryptomathic’s Key Management System (KMS) to manage the lifecycle of device keys.

CardInk is Cryptomathic’s EMV data preparation system for contact and contactless cards and helps to ensure a highly secure card production environment. First Data will use the system to generate personalisation and cryptographic data for all EMV compliant cards produced by First Data on behalf of its Polish customers. KMS will also be implemented by First Data, to manage the lifecycle of cryptographic keys for both card acquirers and issuers. Compatible with all major industry standards, the key management solution will enable the service provider to adopt an automated, standardised and centralised approach to managing cryptographic keys while reducing the need for manual intervention.
