Reckitt Benckiser Appoints Liz Doherty as CFO

Reckitt Benckiser Group (RB), a household, health and personal care company, has appointed Liz Doherty as chief financial officer (CFO). Most recently, Doherty was CFO at Brambles Industries for two years. Brambles, a supply chain and information management solutions provider, has a market cap of Aus$9.7bn and operates across 45 countries.

Prior to Brambles, Doherty was second in command in the finance function at Tesco, where she was group international finance director with additional responsibility for corporate accounts, group tax and treasury. She spent seven years at Tesco, having joined from Unilever, where she had a 22-year career. She has 14 years international experience having worked in Australia, Spain, the Netherlands and Thailand.

Doherty has been a non-executive director of SABMiller since 2006, a role from which she will be standing down ahead of joining RB. She will join RB in January 2011 and have a period of handover with Colin Day, the outgoing CFO.
