O'Charley's CFO Lawrence Hyatt Resigns to Join Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has hired Lawrence Hyatt as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Hyatt, who joins on 3 January 2011, will have responsibility for all aspects of the company’s finance, accounting, investor relations and information services functions. He will report to chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), Michael Woodhouse.

Hyatt has over 20 years of experience as a CFO with various organiations. Most recently he served as the CFO and treasurer of O’Charley’s, a multi-concept restaurant company, a position to which he was appointed in 2004. He also served as interim CEO of O’Charley’s, a multi-concept restaurant company, from February 2009 through June 2009.

Previous positions include serving as executive vice president and CFO of Cole National Corporation, a specialty retailer; as CFO and chief restructuring officer (CRO) of PSINet, an internet service provider; as CFO of HMS Host Corporation, a subsidiary of Autogrill; and as CFO of Sodexho Marriott Services and its predecessor company.

R Jeffrey Williams, O’Charley’s chief accounting officer (CAO) and corporate controller, will serve as interim CFO and treasurer. O’Charley’s plans to conduct a search for a new CFO and treasurer, and expects Williams to be a candidate.
