Saxo Bank Appoints Lars Olesen as Head of Front Office in London

Saxo Bank has appointed Lars Olesen as head of front office in London. With more than 20 years’ experience working in foreign exchange (FX) and fixed income markets and managing global teams, he will be responsible for business management and sales development within Saxo Bank’s UK operations. Olesen will report to Albert Maasland, senior vice president (SVP) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Saxo Bank London.

Olesen joins Saxo Bank from Thomson & Associates, where he was responsible for consultancy services for international banks. Previously he worked for Citigroup where he started the groups’ FX ecommerce business and was global head of FX sales, as well as global head of client management and marketing for Citigroup’s fixed income division.
