Aperam Appoints Citi as Transfer Agent for NYRS Programme

Aperam, a Luxembourg based stainless steel producer, has appointed Citi Global Transaction Services (GTS) as registrar and transfer agent, paying agent and shareholder services agent for its New York registry share (NYRS) programme. Aperam, a spin-off of ArcelorMittal’s stainless steel division, trades in the over-the-counter (OTC) marketplace.

Bernard Fontana, chief executive officer (CEO) of Aperam, said: “We are excited at the prospects of Aperam, which, as a stand alone stainless, electrical and specialty steel company, is better positioned to manage its funding and capital needs and create value for our shareholders. We are committed to developing a strong shareholder base in the US and pleased with the appointment of Citi as our agent.”
