Greencore Hires Alan Williams as CFO

Greencore has co-opted Alan Williams as an executive director of the company with effect from 7 March, 2011 and has appointed him as chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from the same date.

Williams has held a number of significant financial and management roles during his career including senior positions within the Cadbury Group over 18 years. His most recent role was global corporate finance director, with responsibility for leading the central finance functions within the company. Previously he served as head of finance for the US confectionery operations of Cadbury and of its French beverages business.

Williams will be taking up the position from Imelda Hurley, who has been the acting CFO since the departure of Geoff Doherty on 31 December 2010. Following Williams’ arrival on 7 March, Hurley will take up the position of group finance director, reporting to Williams.
