Lawrence Lee Appointed Head of Equity Research, Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Lawrence Lee as head of equity research based in Korea. Lee reports to Dave Murray, global head of equity research. As head of equity research, Korea, he will have leadership and coverage responsibilities for equity research in the market. To this end, Lee will lead the build-out of Standard Chartered Bank’s Korea equity research team and expand sector coverage in Korea.

Lee is a household name in the Korea market and brings with him a wealth of experience in equity research. Prior to joining the bank, he was leading the technology team for Samsung Securities for over five years, consistently garnering top-tier client reviews and external accolades, including top rankings from both Institutional Investor and AsiaMoney. Previously, Lee covered the technology sector at Credit Suisse and also has experience covering the refining and petrochemicals sectors since joining the industry in 1992.
