Hansa Group Relocates German Corporate Headquarters to Saxony-Anhalt
Hansa Group has relocated German corporate headquarters from Münster in North Rhineland-Westphalia to Saxony-Anhalt, the production site of the wholly-owned subsidiary Waschmittelwerk Genthin.
The Genthin location has importance for the future development of the Hansa Group. The largest investment project in the corporate history of the group is currently being realised with the construction of the surfactant plant in this location. The surfactant plant, which will prospectively go into operation in the beginning of the second half of 2011, is associated with investments in the order of €50m.
“The strategic breakthrough for safeguarding the traditional detergent location is successful with the decision of the Hansa Group to intend to relocate their corporate headquarters to Genthin. The relocation of the administrative headquarters to Jerichower Land safeguards jobs there on a long-term basis and sets the course for further growth,” said Minister of Employment and Economic Affairs Dr Reiner Haseloff.
