HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management Adds Two to Team
HSBC global payments and cash management (GPCM) has appointed two senior managers, including a new global role. Thomas Schickler has been appointed as the global head of liquidity, reporting to Ray Fattell, head of payments and cash management global products. In this newly created position, Schickler will be responsible for the development and commercialisation of HSBC’s liquidity management product suite, including the continued delivery of HSBC’s global liquidity solutions platform.
In a related move, Navin Gupta has taken over from Schickler as head of GPCM in India. In his new role, Gupta will be responsible for building and managing the cash management franchise in India, while contributing to HSBC’s emerging markets proposition.
Prior to his previous role as head of GPCM in India, Schickler was managing director for JP Morgan, where he led the liquidity and investments product management group for Asia. Over his 18-year banking career, Schickler has held various transaction banking positions in product, sales and operational management.
Prior to his new role, Gupta was senior manager for global strategy in GPCM India, where he was responsible for the design and execution of project extended enterprise. Gupta was previously head of GPCM in Japan and has held various other transaction banking positions.
