Jaspersoft Appoints Jim Johnson as CFO
Jaspersoft, a business intelligence (BI) software provider, has appointed Jim Johnson as senior vice president (SVP) of finance and operations and chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, Johnson will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, controls, legal and administrative matters, IT operations and internal systems.
Johnson started his career at Sun Microsystems, where he held multiple financial management positions during his 15-year tenure. He helped the company increase its annual revenue from US$1bn to nearly US$20bn when he left. After leaving Sun, Johnson became the SVP of finance at Veritas Software, where he led financial operations that helped grow the company from US$1.6bn to US$2.1bn in annual revenue.
Most recently, Johnson held other CFO roles at respected companies including MSC Software, a company specialising in simulation software that he helped restore to profitability, and VGH, a private equity-owned company later sold to Electronic Arts (EA).
Johnson holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
