Magnetecs Hires Clive Zickel as CFO
Magnetecs, a designer and manufacturer of robotic catheterisation control systems, has hired Clive Zickel as chief financial officer (CFO). He has extensive experience as an entrepreneur and as a CFO at large multinational corporations, as well as emerging technology companies engaged in open ocean aquaculture and solar energy.
Zickel was a senior executive at JP Morgan Chase for 20 years, where he served as CFO of the private bank and of Chase Merchant Services. He was CFO of the Aircraft Finance Group, as well as general manager of an equipment-leasing subsidiary in Europe. He has also served as CFO of Dechert, an international law firm. During his career, Zickel built numerous cutting-edge financial management, business intelligence, executive reporting, and key performance measurement systems. He has started and managed new businesses and turned around ailing business segments.
Zickel is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, a graduate of the Harvard Business School Programme for Management Development, and a graduate of the Executive MBA Programme at Stony Brook University Graduate School of Business, where he is currently an Adjunct Professor teaching managerial accounting and financial decision making.
He began his professional career in public accounting, training with Hill Vellacott, the oldest firm of chartered accountants in London. After admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants, he was enlisted in auditing and consulting engagements with BDO Stoy Hayward and UHY Hacker Young in London and KPMG Peat Marwick in Italy.
