Former Egg CEO Mark Nancarrow Joins Essence as CFO

Essence, a digital agency, has chosen Mark Nancarrow, former chief executive officer (CEO) of Egg, as its chief financial officer (CFO). The appointment comes as part of a wider management restructuring at the agency, designed to support its growth and ongoing ambitions. Essence, which was set up in 2005, counts Google, eBay and Expedia among its clients.

Nancarrow has over 20 years experience in financial services, including roles at HSBC, where he was responsible for the UK credit card business and at the internet bank, and Egg, where he held a number of positions before becoming CEO. More recently, he has held roles at Digital Marketing Group, where he was chairman of two agencies, paid search and analytics, and at Thomas Cook where he had responsibility for financial services. Earlier in his career Nancarrow held finance roles at Shell and Unilever.
