Ariba Teams with D&B to Drive Smarter Commerce

Ariba, a provider of collaborative business commerce solutions, has expanded its relationship with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), which helps businesses with global supply chains certify, monitor and analyse suppliers to mitigate risk. Ariba will incorporate D&B’s insight on more than 195 million businesses worldwide and predictive supplier risk scores into Ariba Discovery, a next-generation business matching service delivered via the Ariba Network that helps buyers and sellers connect and collaborate in the cloud.

Using the service, buyers can shorten the time it takes to find new, quality suppliers by up to 90%. Suppliers also benefit, by reducing the time and costs associated with identifying new business partners.

“Economic uncertainty and global expansion have made efficient discovery and qualification of the right business partners a competitive advantage,” said Tim Minahan, chief marketing officer (CMO), Ariba. “This requires access to dynamic business intelligence within the context of the business process. By joining forces with D&B, Ariba delivers new levels of qualifying business insight built right into the sourcing process.”
