Radius Launches Datashelter Mobile

Radius, the capital markets cloud-focused solutions company, has launched Datashelter Mobile. Datashelter is part of the Radius Financial Edition (RFE) suite that helps capital markets-based institutions overcome the data privacy and compliance issues associated with cloud computing. The new mobile application means banks’ staff can gain access to company data securely while on the move through their mobile device.

Datashelter Mobile is compatible with the Apple iPad, Google Android tablets and RIM’s PlayBook. It can be configured to provide users with access to secured data from internal systems within the corporate firewall via their mobile device, supporting business productivity through access to vital information when away from the office.

Datashelter Mobile has been developed following the launch of Dathershelter earlier this year, which enables financial institutions to use the cloud by integrating with systems such as Salesforce.com or any other public cloud platform, without exposing private and business-critical data from internal systems. This ‘mashing-up’ of data allows financial institutions to keep certain information highly confidential while also exploiting the benefits of cloud computing.
