HSBC Appoints Rohit Joshi as Head of Global Payments, Singapore

HSBC has appointed Rohit Joshi as head of global payments and cash management, Singapore. Joshi will be responsible for the continued growth of the franchise in one of Asia’s major financial centres and will drive the execution of HSBC’s accelerated investment across the region. Joshi’s appointment joins recent appointments across the region including the most recent announcement of a new senior executive, Shirley Leong, in Malaysia.

Prior to his new role, Joshi spent three years in Hong Kong as senior manager for commercial banking, where he led a team responsible for driving strategy and developing the franchise. Previously, Joshi was managing director of HSBC Bank (Mauritius) and has also held various senior positions in Australia and India.
