PetroAlgae Promotes James Dietz to CFO

PetroAlgae, a renewable energy company, has promoted James Dietz, who had been serving as vice president of finance and accounting, to chief financial officer (CFO). Dietz replaces David Szostak, who will continue to play an active role working with the company’s capital market strategies.

Dietz, who joined PetroAlgae in May of 2010, will be responsible for the oversight of all financial, accounting, information technology and legal matters. Prior to joining PetroAlgae, Dietz was CFO of US Capital Holdings, a Chinese-sponsored private equity investor and real estate developer. Dietz was previously CFO of a variety of public and private companies. From 1998 through 2007, he was executive vice president (EVP) and CFO of WCI Communities, a diversified builder/developer that he took public in 2002. He also serves on the board of Global Income Trust (formerly known as MacQuarie CNL Global Income Trust), a non-traded public real estate investment company.

Dietz began his career with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen and holds a BA in accounting and economics from the University of South Florida.
