PayPal Hires Visa's Rupert Keeley as Head of Asia-Pacific Region

Rupert Keeley, one of the top executives in the payments industry, will join PayPal to run its business in Asia-Pacific. With 30 years of experience in the payments space, Keeley has extensive knowledge of the industry and has built deep, trusting relationships across the region. He will drive PayPal’s regional growth strategy, attract and develop great talent, and enhance its relationships with key customers and partners across the region.

Prior to joining PayPal, Keeley worked at Visa for 11 years, most recently as group executive and president of the Asia-Pacific and central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) regions. He also was Visa’s president of the Asia-Pacific region for nine years and served as Visa’s global head of strategy and corporate development.

Before joining Visa International in 1999, Keeley held a number of senior management positions with Standard Chartered based in London, Singapore and the Middle East. Keeley holds a MBA from the City University Business School in London and a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester.
