Hawaiian Airlines Appoints Scott Topping as CFO and Treasurer
Hawaiian Holdings and subsidiary Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Scott Topping as executive vice president (EVP), chief financial officer (CFO) and treasurer. Topping will join Hawaiian on 1 November 2011 and succeed Peter Ingram, who has assumed a new role at Hawaiian as EVP and chief commercial officer (CCO).
Topping joins Hawaiian following 16 years at Southwest Airlines, where he directed that company’s corporate finance, treasury, fleet planning, and risk management strategies. Among other achievements there, he earned international recognition for developing and managing Southwest’s successful fuel hedging programme.
Prior to Southwest, Topping led consulting relationships with 16 bank clients over six years with FinSer Corporation in San Antonio, Texas, leaving as senior vice president in 1995.
Topping holds a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin concentrating in Finance and Accounting, and a BSc in Agriculture from Kansas State University with an emphasis in Economics.
