Derycz Scientific Appoints Alan Urban as CFO

Derycz Scientific has appointed Alan Urban as chief financial officer (CFO). Urban has experience in finance and operations for emerging companies, predominantly in the internet and technology space, and will report to the company’s chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) Peter Derycz.

Urban has been advising Derycz Scientific on finance matters since 2010. He has previously served in numerous senior management positions, including, vice president of finance and treasurer for Infotrieve, and CFO for ReachLocal (RLOC), an internet marketing company.

Urban has also held positions as an audit and tax manager in public accounting, and as an internal auditor. He holds a BS in Business, with a concentration in Accounting Theory and Practice, from California State University, Northridge and has been a certified public accountant (CPA) since 1998.
