Rainmaker Names Tim Burns as CFO

Rainmaker Systems has appointed Tim Burns as chief financial officer (CFO). Burns is the current acting CFO and will oversee the company’s global finance, investor relations and corporate development functions. Burns will continue to be responsible for treasury, corporate development, risk management, financial planning and analysis, accounting, SEC reporting, investor relations, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and the tax and credit functions at Rainmaker.

Burns, who has 13 years of finance and accounting experience, joined Rainmaker in November 2010 as corporate controller. Prior to joining the company, he spent nine years at Dean Foods, holding various positions within finance and accounting. Prior to Dean Foods, Burns worked for Deloitte & Touche.

Burns is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas and holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a BSc degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
