Clear2Pay Joins GlobalPlatform

Clear2Pay, an international provider of next generation payment solutions for financial institutions, has become GlobalPlatform’s latest participating member. Clear2Pay will bring a wealth of payments processing, cards and testing expertise from the payments market to support GlobalPlatform in the standardisation and management of applications on secure chip technology.

As a participating member, Clear2Pay will be able to fully contribute in GlobalPlatform’s device committee, where it will provide input into the development of specifications for the trusted execution environment (TEE). Clear2Pay will also participate in the GlobalPlatform compliance programme, which in 2012 will focus on developing the test tools to evaluate the functional compliance of a TEE product to GlobalPlatform specifications.

Marie Costers, head of test tools competence centre, Clear2Pay, said: “Our participating membership means that we can bring our technical expertise at the forefront of the payments industry to the standards which will ensure security in an industry where trust is vital. Our collaboration on standards stands to benefit all the stakeholders in the chip community, from technology innovators to customers and end users of the resultant applications.”
