Nimble Storage Hires Anup Singh as CFO
Nimble Storage, developer of the first converged storage and backup solution, has hired Anup Singh, a finance executive with more than 20 years of achieving strong financial and business leadership results in global companies, to the post of chief financial officer (CFO). In addition to his CFO responsibilities, he will oversee human resources, legal, IT and administration. Singh will report to chief executive officer (CEO) Suresh Vasudevan.
Singh joins Nimble from Clearwell Systems, a market-leading e-discovery software company acquired by Symantec, where as CFO he led explosive growth in company revenue from US$4m to US$80m annual run rate over a four-year period, with a compounded growth rate of more than 100% per year. In 2009, the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal recognised him as venture-backed CFO of the Year.
Previously, Singh was senior vice president (SVP) and CFO of the Warranty Corporation of America, an Asurion company, and before that he served as vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer at Trimble Navigation. Singh has also held leadership positions at Excite@Home, 3Com and Ernst & Young in both San Jose and London. He holds BA and MA Honours degrees in Economics and Management Science from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
