Vattenfall Appoints Ingrid Bonde as Deputy CEO and CFO
Vattenfall, a European energy company, has appointed Ingrid Bonde as deputy chief executive officer (CEO) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 July 2012 at the latest. In her new role, Bonde will increase her areas of responsibility. Besides finance, she will also be responsible for the company’s strategy and external relations and communications.
Bonde is currently CEO at the Swedish pension fund AMF, a post she has held since 2008. She has vast experience from the financial sector and is known as a strong leader. Before AMF, she was director general at the Swedish Finance Authority (Finansinspektionen) from 2003-2008. From 1996-2002 she worked at the Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgäldskontoret), in the final years as vice director. Between 1991 and 1996 she was director of finance for SAS. She also has wide experience as a member of supervisory boards.
