Mediware Promotes Robert Watkins to CFO
Mediware Information Systems, a healthcare software systems company, has promoted Robert Watkins to chief financial officer (CFO), effective 15 February 2012. Watkins has served as a key member of Mediware’s financial team for more than three years, most recently as Mediware’s vice president and corporate controller.
Prior to joining Mediware in 2008, Watkins served in a number of financial management positions. Most recently, he was corporate controller for Titan Machinery (TITN), a US$1bn provider of agricultural and construction equipment. During his tenure he supported the organisation through an initial public offering (IPO), follow-on offering and more than 10 acquisitions.
Prior corporate controller, his experience included National Agriservices, Magnum Logistics and AFS Financial, where Watkins served as CFO from 1989 to 1999. Watkins began his financial career in 1982 as an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Financial Executives International.
