Biotie Appoints Panu Miettinen as CFO

Biotie Therapies (Biotie) has appointed Panu Miettinen as chief financial officer (CFO). He will become a member of the group’s management team and will report to Timo Veromaa, president and chief executive officer (CEO). Miettinen will be based at the company’s headquarters in Turku, Finland. Zack McNealy, current interim CFO, will resume his prior duties as vice president, finance and administration at the group’s US subsidiary.

Miettinen, a Finnish native, has expertise in finance, strategy, investor relations, and merger and acquisitions (M&A). Previously he was the CFO of Elektrobit. Before joining Elektrobit, Miettinen was a management consultant at Accenture and KPMG Consulting. Miettinen holds an MSc (Economics) degree from Helsinki School of Economics, Finland.
