HSBC Merchant Services has selected Realex Payments as its payment gateway partner. The six-year deal involves Realex Payments providing a fully managed gateway solution to HSBC Merchant Services new and existing client base.

The new offering, named Global Iris, involves three elements:

  1. The provision of a fully branded gateway for existing and new online and call centre businesses.
  2. The provision of dedicated corporate and SME sales support resources for HSBC Merchant Services teams.
  3. The provision of a dedicated customer support function.

Colm Lyon, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of Realex Payments, said: “To be selected as the payment gateway partner by HSBC Merchant Services represents a significant milestone for Realex Payments. This deal doesn’t just involve white labelling our product, but it is instead a deep partnership which sees us build a team dedicated to providing HSBC Merchant Services clients with the customer service that makes us different.”
