MoBank Group Launches Mobile Commerce Service

The MoBank Group has launched MoPowered, a mobile commerce (m-commerce) service which it believes will significantly improve accessibility to mobile retailing for merchants. MoPowered is a managed service that enables merchants to integrate a mobile retailing platform with minimal disruption to their everyday business.

MoPowered enables m-commerce sites to go live within weeks, compared to the industry average of many months. A cost effective m-commerce solution, MoPowered charges predominantly through pay-per-purchase models. MoPowered also provides secure mobile payment capabilities which are Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant and compatible with 3D-Secure schemes, such as Verified by Visa and Mastercard Securecode.

Dominic Keen, chief executive officer (CEO) of the MoBank Group, said: “We estimate that 80% of UK merchants aren’t currently on mobile. MoPowered will stimulate a significant change in the retail world as it makes m-commerce readily available to merchants of all sizes.”
