Atkore International Names James Mallak as CFO

Atkore International, a global manufacturer of galvanised steel tubes and pipes, has appointed James Mallak as chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Karl Schmidt who will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. With 35 years’ financial experience, Mallak will be responsible for SEC reporting, control and accounting, treasury, tax and internal audit. He is located at the headquarters location of Atkore International in Harvey, IL.

Prior to joining Atkore, Mallak was managing director at professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), where he focused on international financial management, corporate financial administration, merger and acquisition transactions and corporate restructuring.

Mallak earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a MBA from Michigan State University.
