Gordon Brothers Group Names John Kelliher as CFO
Gordon Brothers Group, a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm, has hired John Kelliher as chief financial officer. Former-CFO Robert Paglia was named chief operating officer (COO) last summer. Kelliher will work closely with all of Gordon Brothers Group’s business units on strategic, financial and operational initiatives.
Kelliher brings to Gordon Brothers Group extensive experience in financial management within the manufacturing, retail, consumer products and commercial and industrial businesses. Prior to this appointment, Kelliher was the CFO for Twin Rivers Technologies Holdings, a US$600m, privately-held manufacturer of oleo-chemical products and refined vegetable oils servicing the consumer products industry, industrial applications, and energy businesses.
In this role, he was responsible for business planning, accounting, taxes, IT and bank relations. Previously, he served as the senior vice president (SVP) and CFO for The Holmes Group, where he managed all financial functions for the US$700m manufacturer and wholesaler of branded consumer appliances. Kelliher has also held the title of CFO and treasurer for The Stride Rite Corporation, where he was responsible for all financial functions of this NYSE-listed manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of branded footwear with sales of US$550m.
Kelliher holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the Financial Executives International. During his business career, he has been active in a number of community endeavours, including United Way and the Two Ten Footwear Foundation.
