Lloyds Bank Appoints Andrew England as Head of Transaction Banking
Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking and Markets has appointed Andrew England as head of transaction banking. England will report to Andrew Géczy, chief excutive officer (CEO) of wholesale banking and markets. Under England’s leadership, the transaction banking team will continue to build upon the bank’s successful transaction banking proposition and evolve the bank’s product offer which supports the activities of the bank’s corporate customers. England will be based in London.
England has spent his entire career in banking, which began more than 30 years ago with Lloyds Bank which he joined as a trainee. Primarily working in the Lloyd’s international divisions, England spent almost 10 years with the bank before joining Citibank in 1990. While at Citibank, England held a number of roles, focusing mainly on cash and trade management in Paris and Madrid. He then joined Deutsche Bank in 1998, initially with responsibility for global product management, before becoming part of the management team responsible for Deutsche’s transaction banking unit.
Most recently, England has worked at Unicredit Group, which he joined in 2008. While there he was its head of central and eastern Europe (CEE) global transaction banking, responsible for establishing a transaction bank across 19 countries in the region and building its market share and revenue in corporate and financial institution (FI) products.
England will take over from Richard Dallas, who has held the role for the last three years and who has decided to pursue other opportunities outside Lloyds Banking Group.
