Standard Chartered Bank Appoints Steven Phan as Global Head of Structured Equities

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Steven Phan as managing director, global head of structured equity, based in Hong Kong. He reports to Ed Steel, global head of equity derivatives trading, and to Raghavan Rajagopalan, global co-head of structuring for financial markets.

Phan brings to Standard Chartered nearly 20 years of industry expertise, including 17 years in derivatives and investment strategy. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was the managing director and global head of investments, access and solutions group at HSBC based in London. Before HSBC, Phan spent nine years with Merrill Lynch, where he was global head of the equity, fund and proprietary indices structured derivatives business.
