Mercator Transport Appoints Robert Gagnon as CFO

Mercator Transport Group, an air, ocean and ground freight forwarding specialist, has named Robert Gagnon as chief financial officer (CFO). He succeeds Patrick Bazinet, a director of the corporation, who held the position on an interim basis.

Gagnon, a financial executive with extensive experience in various publicly traded companies operating in the services, distribution and manufacturing sectors, held various senior level positions in financial and general management for Saturn (Solutions), Frisco Bay Industries, Stanley Security Solutions Canada and Mecachrome, among others.

As CFO, Gagnon is responsible for the accounting, treasury, investor relations, human resources, financial planning and information technology functions.
