GE Appoints Regional CFOs Jose Ignacio Garcia and Khozema Shipchandler

General Electric (GE) has named Jose Ignacio Garcia as vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for Latin America, GE global growth and operations. In this role, he leads the finance function driving growth and operational excellence across the region.

Garcia has more than 15 years of experience in GE finance, previously serving as the CFO for GE Energy’s power generation services business. Prior to that, he was the CFO for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, commercial finance leader for GE power and water, and CFO for GE energy in China. He earned his graduate degrees from ESADE (Spain), Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (France) and Brandeis University. Garcia is a graduate of GE’s financial management programme and the corporate audit staff.

Khozema Shipchandler has been named vice president and CFO for the Middle East, north Africa and Turkey, GE global growth and operations. In this role, he leads the finance function, driving growth, development and operational excellence for GE across the region’s 24 nations.

Shipchandler brings more than 15 years of experience to this role, having previously served as the CFO for GE aviation services, aviation systems, and military systems. He is a graduate of Indiana University as well as GE’s financial management programme and corporate audit staff.
