RBS Extends Payments Agreement with Tsys

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has finalised a long-term agreement with Tsys to continue payment processing and related services for its UK, Irish and US consumer credit and commercial businesses.

Since 2001, the RBS portfolio has used TS2, Tsys’ outsourced payments processing solution, in an agreement that marked Tsys’ entry into Europe. TSYS now services more than 50 million accounts across 35 European clients.

“The Royal Bank of Scotland Group made a strategic decision over 10 years ago to work with Tsys, during which time we have made many enhancements to our products and customer proposition,” said William Higgins, director, group operations, RBS. “After a thorough review process, we have made the decision to remain with TSYS for an extended period, and we look forward to further developing the partnership.”
