Ingram Micro Promotes CFO Bill Humes to COO
Ingram Micro, a technology distributor and supply chain services provider, has promoted chief financial officer (CFO) Bill Humes to chief operating officer (COO) and CFO. Humes will continue his oversight of Ingram Micro’s finance organisation, while expanding the scope of his responsibilities to include information systems, global logistics operations and global business processes. The company’s executive vice president (EVP) and chief information officer (CIO), as well as the EVP, global logistics, both of whom currently report to president and chief executive officer (CEO) Alain Monie, now report directly to Humes.
Additionally, the company has initiated an internal and external search to fill two newly created positions, both of which will report to Humes: EVP, finance, with responsibilities for the organisation’s global finance operations; and EVP, global business processes, with responsibilities that include driving standardisation and enhanced global business practices throughout the organisation. The company’s four regional presidents, human resources, corporate strategy and legal will continue to report into Monie.
Humes joined Ingram Micro in 1998 and has served as the company’s CFO since April 2005. Prior to that, he held the positions of Ingram Micro’s senior vice president (SVP) and CFO designee from October 2004 to March 2005, corporate vice president and controller from February to October 2004 and vice president and corporate controller from February 2002 to February 2004. Before joining Ingram Micro, Humes was at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for nine years.
