Deutsche Card Services and Kraft Foods Expand Co-operation

Kraft Foods and Deutsche Card Services have expand their co-operation in stationary business to e-commerce payment processing to include another sales channel in their cooperation. The Deutsche Bank subsidiary already took over payment processing for the global snack producer’s stationary business last year, and in the future it will also be responsible for all payments made in European e-commerce.

First and foremost, this covers online sales of Tassimo, the patented hot beverage system of Kraft Foods, which enables consumers to prepare one-cup servings of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other hot beverages of their preference. The main European markets for Tassimo are Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway.

Jens Mahlke, a member of the management board of Deutsche Card Services, said: “The expansion of our cooperation with Kraft Foods is a good example of our competence and capabilities. We are able to offer Kraft Foods unique services and comprehensive process improvements for cross-border solutions in particular.”
