VeriFone Launches Multi-channel Managed Payment Services for UK and Ireland

VeriFone Systems has launched PAYware Ocius, a multi-channel managed service suite for processing card payments in the UK and Ireland across in-store, online and mobile retail channels. PAYware Ocius complements VeriFone’s existing PAYware Merchant Managed Service solution and builds on the offerings of Commidea, the managed service payment gateway in the UK, which was part of VeriFone’s acquisition of Point earlier this year.

“Our customers increasingly need a payment services and support partner to manage not only card acceptance and PCI [Payment Card Industry] compliance, but also the growing variety of multi-channel services and apps, such as e-commerce, mobile wallets, loyalty, CRM and more,” said Tony Saunders, vice president and general manager, VeriFone UK and Ireland. “PAYware Ocius provides gateway services, point-to-point encryption and multi-channel e-commerce processing, as well as other mission critical services, within a controlled cost base that reduces CAPEX and provides outstanding ROI [return on investment].”
