Engineering Selects ACI Worldwide's Card and Merchant System
Engineering, an Italian systems integrator and outsourcing provider, has expanded its relationship with ACI Worldwide to support a new contract for issuing up to one million prepaid cards for online commerce.
Engineering has been a long-time ACI customer, using ACI Issuer and ACI Interchange to issue credit cards and provide processing services. ACI Issuer provides financial institutions with a single platform for issuing and supporting credit, debit, pre-paid and corporate cards. Engineering now plans to leverage ACI Issuer and ACI Interchange on the UNIX platform, enabling them to issue prepaid cards to new customers in a cost-effective manner.
“ACI Issuer on UNIX allows us to provide a cost effective platform to expand our processing services into prepaid,” said Paolo Olivieri, project manager, Engineering. “We have years of experience with Issuer in a mainframe environment, so we felt very comfortable moving to UNIX as a new platform. I am sure that the tremendous success we have experienced will continue and the new system will allow us to support new customers and control our operating expenses.”
