Ixaris Names Kenneth Bonnici as CFO

Ixaris, an innovator in electronic payments (e-payments), has named Kenneth Bonnici as group chief financial officer (CFO), as the company continues to diversify its revenue streams. Bonnici reports to Ixaris chief executive officer (CEO), Alex Mifsud.

In his new position, Bonnici is responsible for maintaining Ixaris’ secure financial foundations so that its payments platform, Ixaris Opn, can be rolled out across new sectors. Bonnici will strive to strengthen the quality of financial reporting and planning, enabling better decision making by senior management, as well as negotiating new agreements with banks and card issuers.

With more than 18 years of experience in finance and management, Bonnici was previously operations director at Ixaris, and managing director for its Malta office. Prior to this, he was at Grant Thornton where he set up and managed the business advisory practice of the Maltese firm, generating substantial growth. Bonnici led projects with clients operating in sectors as diverse as financial services, retail, hospitality, construction, entertainment, e-commerce and government. Before this, he occupied senior finance roles in retail, aviation and manufacturing.
