Lydall Appoints Robert Julian as EVP and CFO
US engineering group Lydall has appointed Robert Julian executive vice president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective 29 October. Erika Steiner (formerly Erika Turner), currently Lydall’s vice president and CFO, will leave the company on 6 November.
Julian will be leaving his position as senior vice president (SVP) and CFO for Legrand North America (LNA), a US$1bn subsidiary of Legrand, headquartered in Limoges, France, to join Lydall. Legrand manufactures products and systems for electrical installations and information networks for commercial, residential and industrial buildings. During his eight-year tenure with Legrand, Julian directed and oversaw all financial aspects of LNA and its subsidiaries, including business strategy and analysis and financial due diligence in support of several acquisitions and operational integrations.
Prior to joining Legrand, Julian was vice president and controller – worldwide strategic sourcing of Fisher Scientific International, (now Thermo Fisher Scientific), a manufacturer and distributor of products and services to the scientific community. Previously, he held key financial leadership roles at Cisco Systems, Honeywell International and Rockwell International.
Julian holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, and earned a BA in Finance from Michigan State University, with honours.
