Marsh Sets up Corporate Division within UK and Ireland Business

Insurance broking and risk consultancy group Marsh said that it has created a new corporate division within its UK and Ireland business.

Bringing together the group’s national corporate and risk management practices across the region as well as Marsh Risk Consulting, the corporate division will serve mid-size and large corporates across the UK and Ireland as well as multinational clients’ operations in the region. The division will be led by Joe Grogan, previously leader of the national corporate practice, who will report to Mark Weil, chief executive officer (CEO) of Marsh UK & Ireland.

The newly-formed corporate division will also include Marsh’s claims, sales and specialist consultants, enabling the firm to deliver the full range of insurance and risk management capabilities to all its corporate clients.

To support this structure, Marsh also announced the appointment of Charles Beresford-Davies to lead the risk management practice. This will focus exclusively on delivering services to the largest corporations with the most complex risk needs and will have colleagues based across the UK and Ireland. Peter Mellor is appointed leader of the national corporate practice, which will service national and mid-size companies by offering specialised insurance and risk management support. Both he and Beresford-Davies will report to Grogan.
